Born in Surabaya, on December 25, 1950, obtained a Bachelor of Economics degree majoring in Accounting at the School of Economics Mahardika Surabaya in 1986 and Master of Management degree at the Graduate Faculty (S-2) University of Indonesia in 1991.

His career began in Surabaya, PT Panggung electronics Industries from 1974 to 1988. Then proceed with a career in banking at PT Bank Rama Tbk Jakarta where he served successively as Director of Internal Audit (1988-1989), Director of Credit & Marketing (1989-1991), Director of Planning & Development (1991), Director of Treasury & International Banking (1991-1999) and the last member of Team Manager While (1999).

Merge onto PT Bank Tiara Asia Tbk. Jakarta office of the Director of Treasury & International Banking (1999-2000) and as a team coordinator Bank Danamon ex Bank Tiara Operation Merger (2000). Subsequently he joined PT. Bank Prima Express Jakarta in 2000 where he served as Director of Treasury & International Banking until mid-2002 after which he was appointed Member of the Supervisory Team.

As a Commissioner of PT. Bank Sinarmas Tbk. from 2003 to June 2007, after passing Fit & Proper Test Bank Indonesia in June 2007 through its General Meeting Extraordinary Shareholders of PT. Bank Sinarmas Tbk. appointed as Director of Operations & Treasury.
