The Real Form of Bank Sinarmas Assisted Villages, “ODOS” in the West Java PKK Pokja Competition

“ODOS” – Obor Desa Organik Sukajaya Group is a village group assisted by Bank Sinarmas. ODOS excelled by winning 1st place at the West Bandung Regency level in the Regency level Regional Development program competition held by Pokja II UP2K PKK. The superior product of processing livestock waste into planting media briquettes is what makes ODOS a superior in the competition and entered the provincial level event.

Cattle breeders, farmers, young people, and several housewives who are members of the PKK Desa Sukajaya are directly involved in the business of processing fresh cattle waste into OBOR Briquette planting media. This livestock waste management activity was started by the Obor Desa Organik Sukajaya Group (ODOS) which received direct guidance from PT. Bank Sinarmas Tbk. Using technology based on local microorganism consortium (MOL) Bio Compound since January 2020. This technology makes fresh cattle waste easier to process with the process of making briquettes for 5-7 days, without odor, without methane gas, safe for the environment, and certified organic.

Initiation of community empowerment-based partnership program between PT. Bank Sinarmas Tbk. and PT. Songsong Buwono Lestari aims to change the mindset of farmers in the Sukajaya Village area to stop dumping livestock waste into waterways and process it into products that have economic value with a positive impact on the environment. This whole series of activities is a real implementation of the 17 points of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), either directly or indirectly, in realizing healthy food independence based on local wisdom. This waste treatment activity received support from the Sukajaya Village, West Java Province DKPP, North Bandung Cattle Breeders Cooperative (KPSBU), and educational institutions in Bandung.

On the occasion of this activity, Bank Sinarmas also distributed waqf of 100 Qur'anic manuscripts for residents of Sukajaya Village which were given directly by Retno Tri Wulandari as Corporate Secretary Head of Bank Sinarmas to Mrs. Plt Regent of West Bandung, Sonya Fatmala & Chair of Pokja II PKK West Java Province Mrs. Lutfi Erlita Widiasih .

Sonya Fatmala, the Acting Regent of West Bandung, who is currently also the Acting Chair of the TP PKK, West Bandung Regency, explained.
