CREATE A NATIONAL CYBER SECURITY EDUCATION, BANK SINARMAS AND POLTEK SSN HAVE WRECK-IT 2.0

Jakarta, June 23rd, 2021 – Bank Sinarmas is increasingly showing its seriousness in dealing with the risk of threats to information security in Indonesia, as evidenced by the regular implementation of WRECK-IT activities. Back in 2021, WRECK-IT 2.0 comes with the theme “Exploiting the Cyber, Catching the Vulnerabilities, Securing the State”. As before, WRECK-IT consists of two series of events, namely the CTF (Capture The Flag) Competition and a Webinar that will invite experts in their fields. WRECK-IT was held as a manifestation of the Government's efforts through the synergy of the State Cyber and Cryptographic Polytechnic with Bank Sinarmas, to provide education about cyber security in the era of increasingly rapid development of technology and the internet.

Pwnlab-based CTF competition, held online and attended by participants from various regions. The purpose of holding this CTF competition as one of the series of core events of WRECK-IT 2.0 is to introduce more broadly about security issues that arise due to system vulnerabilities in the form of challenges in CTF. We also hope that CTF can be a fun tool to learn about cyber and information security.

Furthermore, there are also webinars and panelist discussions that can be attended by the general public, where participants can discuss interactively with the speakers present. The first session of the webinar will present the topic "Kubernetes in a Nutshell: Vulnerabilities, Security, and Pentesting", which invites Giri Kuncoro, Software Engineer at Gojek, as a speaker. And the second session will invite Faisal Yahya (Country Manager Indonesia Vantage Point Security), Stya Putra Pratama (Sr. Security Architect at Technology Company), and Anggi Rifa Pradana (Security Assessment Analyst & Bug Hunter) as speakers, of course with different topics. also, namely "The Effectiveness of Threat Hunting in The Bug Bounty Program to Protect The Country".

This webinar will also be attended by the Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Hinsa Siburian, who will be the Keynote Speaker at the end of the session. The Keynote Speaker will discuss why cybersecurity is so important today? What is the state of information security in this country? So, what can a cyber expert do for this country? The form of dedication in maintaining cyber security is no less important than maintaining physical security in this country.
